North West Honda Super Centre is excited to announce a partnership between their Flagship showroom and British Superbike Superstock 1000 Rider, Shaun Winfield. Shaun Winfield pilots the brand new 2022 Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade alongside team-mate Matt Truelove and former MotoGP Racer, Hector Barbera for TAG Racing Honda.
After finishing just outside of the top 10 in the 2022 Pirelli National Superstock Championship, Winfield has set his sights on a top 5 finish this season, with a return to the elite Superbike class in 2024. The new partnership will see North West Honda Super Centre’s logo adorn the Dainese leathers of the 29-year-old rider from Ashby-de-la-Zouch, as well as branding present within the garages and autographed posters.
Winfield enters his second full season with lead-technician Matt Nuttall who is otherwise full time employed by North West Honda Super Centre as a senior technician and Fireblade specialist. A family team, Winfield races the number 18 machine under the close eye of brother and Team Manager, Gary Winfield.
It’s a very exciting time for the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade within the 2023 British Superbike season; making up nearly two thirds of the Superstock grid. There is also an increased presence of Honda mounted riders on the start line of the Isle of Man TT Races. In 2022, the first year that the latest model Fireblade raced the famous mountain course just 3 of the top 20 starters in the Superbike and Senior TT races were on a Honda. This year 11 riders, over 50% of the top 20 starters, will line up at the start line on a Honda.
The passion that fuels Winfield is felt throughout the racing DNA we share at North West Honda Super Centre and we want to be able to share that with you too; with opportunities to access guest passes for the 2023 season with TAG Racing Honda, as well as ride-outs and meet and greets.

As a Super Centre, we will always naturally have a passion for sports-bikes so to be able to partner with a local racer on board the latest Fireblade seemed like a natural fit. Our Fireblade Specialist Technician, Matt is an asset to our team here in Blackpool and we are all excited to see how the season progresses. Matt and Shaun make a great team and we believe with the support of the showroom behind them that Championship success is within reach!
